Same scout, he hasn't improved at all according to OSA. His OSA ratings below

Random talent change with the OSA (as usual) a little behind?

Lol I'm going with roids. Seems like going from 50 to 80 in contact and 45 to 70 in power is a little unlikely

In looking at his stats, he has had a pretty high average for a while. Could just be the scouting caught-up to his ability. Not sure.

Sometimes scouting reports are wrong about players, both in the positive and negative. This looks like an extreme example.

This is a textbook example of random talent change. Socrates Brito is a hopeless player in real life (although he has an awesome name), so I doubt the initial scouting was wrong.
When it happens to you, it's nice. I always have player development budget as the highest in the league so I see it every few years. Had Tyler Skaggs turn into an ace pitcher overnight, and Logan Warmoth turn into an elite 2B. Last edited by Argonaut; 06-14-2019 at 01:24 PM. |

I picked him up off of waivers and he is not starting everyday in RF and batting over .330.

I want to change him back. This would never happen. Its bad enough I have to put up with the Astros trading JV at the deadline for JD Martinez, even though the Stros had 3 or 4 starters out for the season with injuries. The trades between AI teams in this game are so unrealistic. Does anyone know about what his ratings would be if I were to change them back to average player in the editor?

they are only unrealistic when you use real names and you say nah that would never happen in real life. But give them fictional names and say the Astros decided to throw in the towel on late 30s pitcher A and go with a early 30s big bat then it seems more plausible.

This is one of the many reasons I keep the scouting system turned off.
It was implemented into the game as a half baked idea and then never fixed. |
