Jersey retirement

So i´m playing with the Sharks and neither Marleau or Thorntons jersey gets retired when they end their careers.

Thornton retired still with my team.

What are the requiements for a jersey retiring?

There are six stat categories for each type of player (F/D/G), a player has to hit three of them with that team to get the jersey retired. Marleau is incredibly close; he got one and was a single-digit number away in another category and low double-digits in a third. If he'd stayed with San Jose this year, he'd get it. Thornton, unless he really hangs on, will probably retire just slightly farther back; the Boston years keep him from getting there. I want to add extra credit for awards/all-star teams in there eventually, but we don't have that history in the database at the moment. If that was included, Thornton would likely go over the top.

Thanks for the answer!
Marleau was the one that that made me wonder the most. But i guess thats the price you pay if you go with the money to Toronto =)

How close were Pavelski then? (Just retired at 37)

GP: 1127 G:418 A: 506 PTS: 924

I wish he had stayed two more years.. Maybe with 1000 points the jersey had went up?

Ps. Why is the average GR calculated with every years active... In Pavelskis case that means he has a average GR of 18. (13 seasons with 0 and then 65,62,62,59)

One for six for Pavelski, close on a second.

That's wrong for GR, it should be using only the non-0 seasons, I'll see if we can get that fixed.
