Rain affecting game play
Just curious. When I am playing out a game and it states that the rain is starting to fall what does it hinder more... Pitching or hitting?

This is a good question. Does rain affect fielding, for example? The only thing that I know for sure about rain is that a long rain delay tends to "exhaust" the starting pitcher. Actually, I'm not even sure about this; I have not noticed it recently. I will be looking for it.

1. The current pitcher will become "tired" sooner, based on a fixed calculation that adds a certain hidden number to his pitch count for each 5 minutes of delay.
2. The odds of errors when fielding ground balls will increase. It may also affect the odds of getting a ground ball out even when there is no error. |
