What types of leagues do you plan to create?
While we don't know what level of customization (if any) FOF 9 will have, let's all hope it does have the ability to incorporate different league sizes and configurations.
If that's the case I'm curious, what does everyone have planned for potential fictional league setups? |

8 teams, 0 conferences, 0 divisions, 14-game schedule (1 home and 1 away game vs. other 7 teams), top 4 teams make playoffs (#4 @ #1, #3 @ #2).
No financials. |

I like what I do in OOTP, so similar to that...
Six divisions regionally located across two leagues, East and West. 32 teams total with 4 teams in each division. 16 or 18 game schedule (but probably 16). Top 16 make the playoffs (I know that's very unpopular, but I like more teams being in it in my games) Haven't decided whether or not I will use a salary cap yet. I dominate a little too easily in OOTP, so I may in fact use one. Inaugural draft setup, definitely. One thing I may tweak, depending on the settings, is how long a career lasts. Hopefully it's not like the real NFL where the average guy plays one or two years and is gone

Leave NFL structure but move a few franchises, e.g. Raiders to Vegas early. Jaguars maybe to Mexico City. Not much.

Small and simple. 10 teams, 1 division, 18 game schedule (2 vs each of the other 9 teams). Top 4 teams make playoffs. Will start with inaugural draft.

If possible, replay history from 1970 to present.

Personally, I'd love to be able to recreate a NFL-AFL rivalry type leagues where both leagues are trying to attract top college players.

I'll start with 2 college leagues, FBS & FCS, and produce players for about a decade. Once there are tons of college grads with nothing to do, I'll create a small pseudo-NFL, and slowly expand every few years. They'll pull from the same college pool of players.
Probably starting with a few teams in the same region - Boston, NY, Philly & DC, for instance. A big push to the south, then Midwest, then pacific coast |

When it comes out (if ever) I'm interested in creating a promotion/relegation system for the NCAA. NFL playoff system works fine for me, though.

12 teams, 2 conferences. The way it was back in the '50's.

18 teams,2 conferences.
One conference would have all 9 CFL teams. Maybe the Alliance of American Football League teams in the other conference along with one expansion team(TBA). |

Exactly what the NFL has because I'm so damn used to it in FOF. I have no real interest in customizing leagues to the ends of the earth in an NFL-level game. College, however, is a different story.

I'd love to create a new MP league if/when that is an option. College immersion would be incredible.

I'll do what I did in Out of the Park Baseball and create a women's league with real players, but with my own made-up teams. I love creating all the logos, uniforms, and teams .
Out of the Park Baseball is the first game I ever played where I could fully create and play a women's league that actually felt like a real sports league. There might be other video games out there that have women's leagues and players, because I don't know every game, but every sports video game I have ever seen or played treated women's sports as either second class or they were really fluffy with no substance. The thing is, ever since I was a little girl I wanted to have a proper sports video game with women players and leagues, full of stats and everything a proper league should have. A few years ago I found Out of the Park Baseball, and not really knowing what to expect I bought it. I then spent the next 5 months editing, photoshopping, modding, and researching to create my women's league in Out of the Park Baseball. I didn't even play through a single game in the game till I was finished 5 months later . Sorry for a long post, but that's the league I'll be making . |

24 team fictional league, 2 conferences of 12 teams, 11 games (each team plays the other team once per season in it's conference.) No inter-conference play.
The three top teams from each conference (6 teams) make the postseason playoffs. The teams that finish the regular season in first place are crowned the conference champions. The conference champions get a first round bye and home field advantage in the second round. The other four teams play in Round 1 and are seeded based on win-loss record, regardless of the conference that they come from. If possible, this would be my ideal set-up.
