Many teams on cruise control since PT 3.0 started.

Doubledays should be a top seed in their league. But a dominant regular season doesn't always mean championship.

Owlz have the 2nd best record in their conference, which is good for 2nd place in their division. This team is top in hitting average and pitching. Just not lucky enough in the playoffs.

Woodpeckers are a distant 2nd place and will most likely play in the WC game.

I don't know that any Huntley Red Raider has ever done this before...

The PT20 Warbirds reach their 12th straight PL finals. Warbirds will be looking for their 12th PL medallion and 8th in 11 years.

Standing in their way are fellow 11X champ the Pawtucket Poets. they knocked off the League leading Seattle Storm (14PL) in the WC.

Warbirds .796 +544
Poets .636 +292

Tough day for my PT 2.0 teams.

Woodpeckers just missed the playoffs by a couple of games.
Owlz clinched the wild card by 20+ games but lost at home.
Doubledays were top seed overall in just about everything but lost in 5 games to the wildcard winner.

The Warbirds swept (11-0) the P429 playoffs for their 12th PL title.
Back to back shutouts in game 3 and 4 to add a bit of flair to the dominant run. The Warbirds only allowed 20 Runs.

We Did It!

It's not easy winning a PL title with a theme team, but we managed! Yes it was a whale free draw but you have to take advantage of that opportunity...

I am running Dodgers only, admittedly allowing guys like Andruw Jones who were there but a year. I really needed him to cover up some for my mediocre pitching...Also instituted the Jackie Robinson rule allowing for any negro league players I could find. John Henry Lloyd was the left handed infielder/leadoff guy that the Dodgers just didn't have and he was a key add as well. If we could ever get enough PP together to get a 99 Maddux and/or Kevin Brown we'd actually have a solid team. We did manage to close out the series vs POY Lefty Grove but we could use an ace of our own. 97 Drysdale does his best but he'd be much better as a 2 or 3 starter...

Part of me feels bad for this guy, he got so close he could taste it, but at the same time..hail Sir Derp d'Derpy! This guy has 7-8 pitchers that are better than my #1 starter and he still lost. You simply have to construct your roster better than this. When your bullpen is the strength of your team it means you are doing something wrong, especially in 2.0. He needs/needed to sell off 2-3 of those bullpen starters and use the funds to complete his lineup. Now, 3.0 I think they balanced it a bit better, and good relievers will be coveted, but at the same time, bullpen is still a luxury, not something you funnel 100,000's of PP into. Any one of his bullpen pitchers cost more than my entire bullpen and what good was it? Anyways, more with less and all that.

Another DS Loss

I don't know if you're familiar with the Mega Amphoros but they were my opponent in this week's DS after I won the Wild Card...they beat me in the division by 17 games though I was 11-8 against them H2H during the regular season.

We went up 2-1 in the series, lost game 4 in extras (14 innings), and fell flat on our faces in game 5, losing 9-0.
