Toronto survives Danny Green's blunder at the end and bring home the bacon. Kudos to the Raptors and their fans. Golden State has massive grit and well done to them as well.

He is gone for good. That looked like a pretty serious knee injury.

Congratulations to the Raptors and all of Canada. A great season and I am already looking forward to the draft and free agency.

Amazing how a six game final can have so many injuries that affect free agency.
I hope Thompson does not have a serious injury but it looked bad on TV.

Congrats to Toronto. But this ring will always be talked about w/an asterisk. No matter how well the Raptors played.

Was rooting for the Raptors but this year's Warriors team reminded me a bit of the '87 Celtics. The battled bravely through SO many injuries and never gave up, but in the end just couldn't quite overcome them.

Reports are that Thompson has a full ACL tear.

Jesus, I have never seen anything like this before in basketball.

Wow. With both KD & Klay looking at free agency, the Warriors' front office has some serious decisions to make. The idea was that they were certainly going to offer max deals to one, perhaps both. Can they do that now, given that both players - if they were to sign - are looking at missing most, if not all, of the coming season? Regardless, the Warriors are looking at a 2019-20 core of Curry, Green, Iguodala, and not much else at this point (they have a team option on Livingston, and they could certainly sign a few of their lower-tier free agents, such as Looney, Cook, and Jerebko).

League-wide, these next few weeks are going to be fascinating...

Yay Raptors! We got to see each of the 6 finals games in the theatre with other fans and that was an awesome experience. Game 5 was heartbreaking, but the win in the end was so sweet. It's interesting how a sports championship can make so many people so happy.

I gathered more respect for the Dubs in this series loss than I got from their last 2 rings. They played like Warriors. Cousins fought to get back on the court. KD came back too early. Looney was supposed to be out bought fought thru the pain. Klay got hurt twice. The final time he rushed to the court to shoot his FT's just in case he could come back and play. Iggy stepped up w/a huge game 6 in a losing effort despite not being 100%. And Green & Curry would not die. They kept fighting and never let the odds defeat them before the Raptors did.

An interesting off season is going to be even more intriguing now. Two of the biggest FA's, KD & Klay, aren't going to be available in 2019-20. How does that play? Nobody has a clue where Kahwi's mind is at. What is a team that gets AD going to look like post trade?

Does everyone remember the outrage people had about the NBA system when they saw GS & Clev seemingly stockpiling weapons? Now Cleveland is completely off the landscape. And the Warriors are definitely vulnerable. At this point, the teams that looks to have the most stable rosters are the Bucks, Blazers & Nuggets.

Times change. Quickly. The system isn't broken.

It's the same asterisk as the Warriors 2015 ring.......

Unless your team cheated to win, there's no asterisk.

Golden State went up 85-80 after Klay came back on the court and sank his free throws. From that point forward, the Warrriors were outscored 34-25. Tough, tough break.

Edit: Kawhi becomes the first player ever to win Finals MVP on a team from both conferences and the road team won the last five games, also a first in Finals history.

Edit, deux: Kawhi was the first player since Larry Bird in 1984 to lead the playoffs in points, rebounds, and steals. He's special.

Kawhi Leonard missed being a unanimous Finals MVP because Hubie voted for Van Vleet.

Congrats to the Raptors. They played like an elite team and did not seem to get nervous whenever the Warriors went on a run.

Very bad luck for the Warriors. I rooted against them, but they are a great team and you never want to see anyone get hurt.

Strangely enough, because of the Warriors' experience their fans may feel a degree of understanding for Cavs fans. They are where we were in 2015. Many people here in Cle feel that with a healthy Kevin Love and a healthy Kyrie Irving, we would have won in 2015.

It will be interesting to see what the NBA looks like next season. No Durant, no Klay Thompson, an older LeBron James. I know LeBron was hoping Durant would join him on the Lakers.

Based on how the league has gone in recent years I think Kawhi is obligated to sign with the Warriors now.
