QMJHL FaceGen packs

First pass of Facegen files for all 18 QMJHL teams has been completed. You can grab individual zip files for each team from the posts below, or you can grab them all (415 players) from the shared drive at the link below. You can grab individual players, or look for the complete zip (QMJHL_2016_Facegens.zip) to grab them all at once.

If you encounter players that I have missed (bearing in mind that this covers just the players from the opening day rosters), let me know. If you find any errors or bad files, let me know as well.

Currently players with special-case characters in their names will not auto-load, nor will their proper files be recognized by the game if manually loaded. For these players, I have created anglicized (accents removed) versions of the filenames so you can manually load those if you wish. Enjoy.

I had a few of these that for some reason were not auto-loading. Jordan Ty Fournier is probably because of the space between his first and second name, Phélix Martineau because of the accent, but the others look right (including birthdates). Will try narrowing down the cause of the problem, but here's the lot in the meantime.

This set should be complete, but again a couple of players may not auto-load. There appears to be an issue auto-loading Facegen filenames that contain special characters - including hypens.

Okay, I will have to look back at some of the other packs I've uploaded and check for an error I just found in Halifax that was causing one of the non-special-character facegens from auto-loading... I had the birth year wrong on my spreadsheet, and it didn't match what was in the database. I fixed that case here (Andrew Shewfelt) but will double-check some of the others to be sure.

Back at it after the weekend, though I couldn't find a decent mugshot for Noah Massie or Jonathan Aspirot. Two of the facegens won't auto-load - Alex Lavoie (birthdate off by one day in the database) and Simon Le Coultre (the recurring issue with spaces/special characters).

Did you try replacing the spaces and hyphens with an underscore? I know that's how it works for the team names (like St. Louis is st__louis, with 2 underscores).

Is there any Facegen-101 for beginners out there? I´m really interested in doing a historical Megapack (starting in 1931) but i don´t have the slightest clue how to use facegen.

There are a couple players missing here that I couldn't find good images for, namely Oliver Felixson and Alexander Vdovenko.

Jakub Zboril doesn't auto-load, nor does Cédric Paré. I have noticed that apostrophes don't seem to affect the auto-load, so it's not all special characters that create the issue. I will try the double-underscore method that was suggested by Pwal on my next batch.

@Duranium, I don't recall if there is a Facegen-101 guide out there, but it's fairly simple once you get a feel for it. I'll try putting something together based on my experience with it, and others can add to or improve on what's there. Might not be until the weekend, but I'll try to get it together soon.

Continuing to have issues with some of these not wanting to auto-load, and not always for the reasons I would expect. For now I have anglicized a number of names containing special characters and including both versions in the archive. The facegen files with accents (é, ö) don't load into the game at all now, using a random placeholder even when they are forcibly loaded. Hopefully that will resolve down the road and the anglicized ones can be ditched. Michael Kemp is also missing as I could not find a good image to use as a foundation.

Use this spreadsheet based on the FHM3 player export to rename the players properly with the correct birthdate.

Standard issues here, where players like Frédéric Foulem, and Frédéric Aubé won't auto-load due to the special characters. Again I have added anglicized versions, but those aren't recognized as such automatically either at this time.

This set turned out well for the most part, though a couple used really bad resolution images and are rather blurry. The small size of the images in-game lets me get away with a bunch of those, and two of them were goalies so the mask hides a lot of the face.

Marc-Olivier Crevier-Morin won't auto-load until the next database update because his birthdate was wrong in the game. The file here is named with the proper date and the data should be updated with the next patch. Jean-Sébastien Taillefer and Tristan Bérubé will also not auto-load.

I'm manually checking these rather than use the exported list because in some cases the birthdate in the database was wrong. Probably a typo on my part somewhere along the line. Would rather make sure the data and the filenames were both as accurate as possible than assume the dates in the game were correct. I've corrected a couple already that were in error and those should be in the next patch/update.

Some really good high resolution images were available for many of these players. Might be the best set yet. The following will not currently auto-load: Félix Bibeau, Rafaël Harvey-Pinard, Jérémy Lauzon, Hugo Després. Anglicized versions included.

All but two of these should auto-load without issue. I've posted a test case for the developers to look into the special-character exception that keeps coming up so hopefully the anglicizing I've been doing won't be necessary for long. (Forcing the load of special-character files doesn't open them either.)

Only one of these players will not auto-load, Éric Léger. The others should be fine. Overall some better quality images available to create Facegens, but a couple may still appear a little zombie-like.
