Question FHM2 Imitating Life: Real-World Coincidences to Your Management Decisions

Apologies if there was already a thread made about this topic (I haven't logged in for quite a while.)

Is there any instance where real-world roster moves would mirror something you did in FHM2? Did your favorite team in real life or an AI controlled franchise end up acquiring the same player it did in your game? Did a certain player you grew attached to end up signing in your city?

The latter recently happened to me. I was browsing NCAA roster commitments on EliteProspects.com when I noticed American goalie Blake Weyrick committed to Canisius, one of Buffalo's notable hockey schools.

The same player I had drafted in my FHM2 Sabres franchise as my future franchise goaltender:

To make things even weirder, he was picked up by Canisius's cross-town/AHC rivals Niagara after his final season with the NTDP.

We'll see what happens next season, but if Blake's in-game ratings translate to real-life performances, I'm sure many people around town will be happy.

Anyone else have any interesting coincidences happen in your game?
