A tough loss for the Tigers as they left the bases juiced in the bottom of 12th after giving up a run in the top half because of an error with 2 outs.

The Red Sox banged out 4 doubles on there way to 11 hits and an 8-4 win over the Tigers. Hooper and Speaker swiped 4 bases between them essentially driving catcher Del Baker, batty. Said Del, "Most of those swipes are a result of huge jumps off of our pitcher." However, it has been noted that none of the Tiger receivers are blessed with much of an arm when it comes to throwing runners out.

Hugh Jennings, Tiger skipper had this to say, "There will be no passing the buck here. Containing baserunners is a shared responsibility and we need to work in tandem to minimize damage, especially against those Sox teams. They have some fellas that can fly."
