game dies after importing a historical player

Sorry if this has already been reported.

I started a historical game in 1901 with a full import of history and noticed that Win Clark was missing from the list of players (reported in the historical players thread). I imported him into my game and got both him and Bill Clarkson (again reported in the historical thread).

I tried to go and delete Bill Clarkson under the Available action tab when on his player page and the game died.

I got a screen saying the game had failed and then one that said windows could not find a fix for the failure. I have attached both to this post.

I also tried importing another player and then to click on the available actions tab and the game failed in the same way so has nothing to do with it being Bill Clarkson/Win Clark clash.

Also I tried clicking available actions on a player that I had not imported and the game failed the same way.

Can someone take a look please.

I will check to see if this happens in Fictional leagues to see if i get the same issue.

Hmm, I do not know why this would happen

I'd definitely be interested to know if it happens in another league as well though, that might help me get an idea or two.

It only seems to happen with free agents. If a player is assigned to a team then the available action tab works and the game doesn't crash.

Hope it is not something to do with my PC and is a game bug

And also in a standard game but again only with free agents. seems to be a bug on the free agents when trying to access the available action tab.

What are your computer's specs? I do not think it's a game bug, unfortunately. Maybe I'm wrong though...

windows 10 but not sure the spec of anything else. What would you need to know. This did not fail when using OOTP 17.

I have just tried when i was Commissioner but acting as one of the teams and I could access the available actions tab of a free agent.

It is only when I am not in control of a team and am commissioner.

Have not tried as a non commissioner player

Further to the above. it is only when I am the commissioner and not acting as a team manager.

If i am a GM/manager with a team or an unemployed gm/manager that is not a commissioner then I do not get the issue.

Experiencing similar crash with same Windows message but only when I try to import players from the 2016 season into my historical league

No crashing when I import players from other seasons

I'd guess this will be fixed next patch as well
