Historical 1901 MLB using DH
I'm going to run MLB from 1901 forward using the DH for both leagues from day one to see how historical outcomes are changed. I'll post relevant news here. Since I am simming 115 years I will probably only post season end items, there'd be way too much posting for more detailed stuff.

Who is this D Jefferson with 57 steals for the Indians? It looks like a few imaginary players wandered up to the majors.

30 triples for Wahoo Sam? What were the doubles/triples totals for the two leagues? Sometimes I think the OOTP formula needs to swing a little more towards doubles.

Keep it up. These are always interesting.

I believe fictional players was turned on. I can't find a way to turn it off now that the league is going. Maybe it's best since I have the DH turned on for both leagues. Might need some extra players other than who played in real life. Since historically the DH wasn't used it's not "real" history anyway....

It might be that the DH rule results in some players retiring later. It seems some players who would not otherwise be offered contracts would get them with a DH rule.

I would expect so, since players today extend their careers several years via the DH.
