Worth Upgrading

Hello all. My first OOTP was version 2. My most recent is version 17. I play mainly historical leagues as either GM or manager. Would there be any value in upgrading to OOTP20?

Yes, the 3-D alone is worth the upgrade. Just do it, you won't regret it.

If you enjoy OOTP 17 and can spare 5 bucks, then yes.

I guess the one thing to watch out for is that you won't be able to import OOTP17 leagues into 20. To do a full import you'd have to get 18 and 19 and do each of those year by year. It'd be a bit of a PITA if you have a league you're really into. On the other hand, they've really added a ton of new stuff (I agree with 3D being huge) so it'd probably be worth it just to start a new league.

You can import previous games through the demo versions (you can find them here: https://www.ootpdevelopments.com/ootp-prior-version/). So to bring a league from 17 to 20, you need to download the 18 and 19 demos and just do it in a couple steps.

I'm of the opinion that every version is worth it, but I might be a little biased

I love 20. I paid standard price and the return on my investment has been stellar. At $5 it’d be like getting in on Amazon stock 10 years ago - do it and profit.
