Friday, October 8, 2060 MACS WIN RU TITLE, NINJAS NEAR TU TITLE Pro Cup Favorite Wynnamac derailed the title hopes of the Ranford Bulls by whipping them in five games in the Ruthlandian Union League Championship Series... and the current IPA Pro Cup trophy holder, Ginza, are ahead 3-2 in the best-of-seven Tycobbian Union title series. The Macs finished off Ranford yesterday 2-0, while the Ninjas nabbed a 3-1 verdict to get past the Rolling Hills Racers... Wynnamac will now advance to the IPA Pro Cup Finals against the victor between Ginza and Rolling Hills... the Racers will host game six at Midtown Base Ball Grounds... game seven, too, should the series go that far. If they do, it will be this year's Pro Cup favorite, Wynnamac, against the defending Pro Cup champion, the Ninjas. I don't think this matchup has happened very often in IPA history... I'll have to check and see how often it has happened. I just probably jinxed the Ninjas by pulling for them. Impartially and unbiasly, "Go Karate Kids, Go" ! Where is Mr. Miyagi when you need him?
