Thanks Leeskye! By the way, I am not going to re-post the list, it is just too big. I will continue to edit the one on the second page of this thread.
Thank you everyone for helping out. I hope that some of you are able to plug holes as a result of this thread too. CONN

Henri Placke Hw
HENRI PLACKE HW
Hometown - Amsterdam, Netherlands 0-1-0 Henri Placke came to America in 1904 boasting that he was the Holland Clog Boxing Champion and that he could take any American boxer. A match was made with Kid McCoy to be held in Philadelphia. The results were not good for the Dutch Clog Boy. The Daily Review Newspaper described the bout as follows: "Herr Placke, the champion of Holland, made a sorry spectacle of himself last night in a fight with Kid McCoy at the Lenox Club. Standing six inches taller and weighing over seventy pounds more than his pale-faced opponent, he was beaten almost insensible in less than four minutes. Placke never laid a glove on McCoy, except when the men clinched, and the cool, calculating McCoy darted in and out and around his burly opponent, almost like lightning. He would feint with his right and then drive his left to the face viciously, scarcely ever failing to bring the blood. Before the first round ended, Placke was covered with blood from his neck to the waist and both eyes were almost closed. Just before the gong sounded announcing the close of the first round, McCoy drove a vicious left flush to the chin, dropping Placke like a log. The gong saved him from being knocked out. He was carried to his corner, only to be knocked out ten seconds after the opening of the second round. McCoy feinted with the right and then drove his left square to the point of Placke's nose. The latter intuitively placed his left hand over the damaged organ and dropped to his knees. The blood was running from him in a stream. As he knelt by the ropes, the police appeared at the ringside and stopped the bout."

OK, the list is complete (on page two of this thread)
I have gone through all 3,669 fighter pictures that I have, the 200 plus photos for which I have no file are included. Those that have been rated or posted since I started this are in bold italics and say "RATED". Please post any files that you have. I will be rating and posting fighters left undone as time goes by and encourage any of you to do the same. I will continue to update the list as new photos are posted on the other thread. It should be a relatively simple task at this point. Please don't hesitate to e-mail me if you need any of these pictures. Many of them are from the ones that you all posted here, so you may not need many. However, if you do, use my email address for requests rather than the PM system here at OOTP (it does not seem to allow attachments) chrismund@elvis.com Thanks again and in advance to everyone who is willing to post or rate these fighters. Just for fun
JAMES "Jemmy" FIGG
Born - Thame, England Height - 6 feet Weight - 185 pounds Record - Claimed over 270 victories against 1 defeat James Figg came from a poor family in Thame. He took to prize fighting at an early age to earn money. Once he gained a solid reputation, he opened an academy of arms in London which included wrestling, swordplay, fighting with cudgels and of course, boxing. By 1719, he claimed to be holder of the title "Champion of England", a title he held until 1730 or so. Some of his victims in the prize ring were tough customers; the likes of Lancashire soldier Christopher Clarkson and Dublin Carpenter Philip McDonald. Figg claimed to have lost only one bout against a gentleman by the name of Edward Sutton of Gravesend. He claimed to be ill that particular evening and he avenged his loss with two more victories against Mr Sutton. James Figg's legacy lived on in the form of a grandson who later became Champion of England and in the call of Figg himself echoing through the streets of London "Here I am Jemmy Figg from Thame, I will fight any man in England".

Here's a few from your list, not sure where I got them. Most are in my universe so import them with out the history and stats. I have several on your list which I have half-assed created, if you want PM me and I will e-mail them to you and you can work on them if you want. Once again ones I create I spend little or no time testing them. I only decide what rating I think they should have and then make them that. I only got through the G's ... will look for more later.

Great additions - thank you! if you want, you can e-mail anything that you feel is unfit for posting at chrismund@elvis.com but if you ask me, it's all fit for posting if someone doesn't like your file - the delete button is an easy solution

Here are my created fighters .... Once again I've been hesitant to post these because I did zero research or testing on them. All I did is look at their boxrec page, decide what rating I would give them and then make them that rating.
They are not accurate so feel free to make changes on them. Remember to not import the stats or history because they are fighting in my universe. All of these guys have "cf" in their nickname, that was so I would know that I created them. There is 84 in all. Last edited by mh2365; 04-15-2007 at 07:10 PM. |
