IBL has eight openings for GMs seeking challenge
IBL has just completed its first season, and due to a variety of reasons I have just become commissioner and there are eight vacant teams:
Kansas City Seattle Tampa Bay (Old, but a playoff team this past season) Pittsburgh Philadelphia Montreal St Louis Arizona Our league is primitive compared to others on this site: ownership of OOTP5 is not required. In the long storied history of IBL (two drafts consisting of seven seasons total) only the commissioner has owned the program and everyone emails their lineups/etc in for the commissioner to enter into the program. This is how I became the commissioner: the previous commish got tired of the work. I do not mind the work, but am interested in setting up this league so that the file can be downloaded by gm's so they can make their own changes and export their teams back to me. It would be a new experience for me, but I am willing to learn. Primarily the league uses the chat program Mirc (www.mirc.com) to convene, trade, etc etc. If you are familiar with the program, we meet on EFnet in #ibl. If you are not familiar with mirc, go to the website, download the program and it is pretty self explanatory. Remember: we meet on the EFnet network in the channel #ibl. Anyway, to sum up I am a new GM looking to take a dying league to a new level. The available teams are not good but a dedicated gm can taken them and make them contenders. The league page is: http://tiger.towson.edu/~preese2/ibl/ So check out the teams, decide if you want to take on the workload, and email me at iblleague@yahoo.com or message me on aim under PhilR8. I look forward to hearing from you! |
