This was a costly win for the Jays. They beat the A's 9-4 but both Jacoby Ellsbury and J.A. Happ left the game with injuries. Ellsbury is heading to the D.L. for a couple of weeks. We await word on Happ.

Aledmys Diaz homered for Toronto.

LP - Frankie Montas (0-1)

J.A. Happ's injury turned out to not be too serious. He just needs to rest. He should be fine for his next start.

Meanwhile, he signed an extension! He is signed through 2020 for $19.5m over two years.

And the isn't the only one! Aaron Loup signed a 3-year extension for $11m!

Jacoby Ellsbury is placed on the D.L.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is called up from Buffalo.

Conor Fisk's debut went very well but he was stills addled with the loss as the Jays fell 2-1 to the Mariners.

Toronto loaded the base with none out in the 9th but couldn't scratch across a run.

Mikie Mahtook homered for the Jays.

Dylan Cozens left the game with a pain in his shoulder. We await word.

The Jays slipped a spot to #26 on the Weekly Power Rankings.

Victor Martinez of the Tigers has announced his retirement as of the end of the season.

Jose Abreu and Bo Bichette hit back-to-back jacks for the Jays.

Unfortunately the Jays were already behind and never got the lead, falling 10-5 to the Rays.

Jake Petricka was left in a little too long and may have paid of fit with an injured shoulder.
