Game crashes around Sep 2 while unemployed

I've encountered this in two different games. If I'm unemployed on September 2nd the game crashes. They're both in historical mode. I looked through the different threads but didn't find anything addressing this.

I don't know of any specific issues with that date. Is this when you start in a particular year, and if you still have one or both of the saves, can you upload them for us to have a look at? Instructions here.

Hey thanks Jeff. I've uploaded both files. One is called 1917draftleague, and the other is called 72 Nordiques.

Sorry, I forgot to answer your question. One is start year 1917, the other 1972. The commonality between them is that in both games I was fired from the team. In the 1917 one, I was fired because the Montreal Maroons left the league. In the other, I was fired when Quebec joined the WHA. In both situations I did turn down job offers because I wanted to be in the NHL.

The 1918 game is actually crashing on the 3rd and 1979 on the 4th for me, but between that and the fact that you're unemployed after being fired in both cases, it doesn't seem like a coincidence. I can't see anything obviously wrong with either save, though, other than half the NHL logos in 1979 being the same generic one, which is strange but doesn't seem to be a symptom of an issue with team data, which appears to be all intact. We'll have to check these out a little further to see what's going on here.

I think we have the problem fixed. The saves should be playable after the new update, I just tried with a test build and can continue them without a crash.
