All-Star rosters released; Edmonds only Redbird going to Midsummer Classic
All-Star rosters released; Edmonds only Redbird going to Midsummer Classic
Note: Picking David Wright over Scott Rolen as the second third baseman is a crime. Wright is batting .306 with 12 HRs and 49 RBIs and a WAR of 2.3. Rolen, who tops all the third base fielding stats, is hitting .307 with 14 HRs and 60 RBIs and a WAR of 4.2. Fricking East Coast bias. Last edited by rink23; 03-04-2018 at 04:01 AM. |

Cardinals set to host Padres; sign reliever Casilla, bring Womack off DL
The Cardinals will open the post-All-Star break portion of their schedule with a three-game series at Busch Stadium against the San Diego Padres.
In other news, St. Louis has signed right-handed reliever Santiago Casilla. He has been assigned to AAA Chandler. Also, injury second baseman Tony Womack is come off the disabled list after being sidelined since May 2 with a broken hand. He will play a few games at AAA Chandler before being called up.
