Why does OOTP say my owner would not accept this contract?

I have learned if they NOT in their 5th year of Major league ball they WILL NOT accept a multi year contract of any size. Very rare indeed. I have tried to pull a mid 90s Indians attack to no avail.

If it's the owner saying no to the contract, it may be because of the structure of the money, too much range between the first and last year, try to narrow the money range, ie: first year $4,000,000 last year $13,000,000 and use the middle years to slowly increase the money.
