Trading as commissioner...
I'm playing a league as commissioner and league trading is turned on. When I go to the "trade player" screen, it tells me that either league trading is turned off OR I don't own a team. If I "act" as a manager I can then force a trade with the team I'm acting for. Why can't the commissioner (as himself) make trades with any team.
While I'm here, I would find it useful to place a historical player on a specific team in the off season. As it is now, I can only place that player in the FA pool and then have to make an offer and hope I can get him on the target team. Why can't I (as commissioner again) simply import the historical player to the team I want him on? |

1. This is by design, you must be in Commish Mode and then act as 1 of the teams GM's, using the force trade as you did.
2. Once you import the player, (in Commish Mode) go to the player editor tab. Left hand side, about 1/3 of the way down, "Team Information, Slect New Team" . Use the dropdowns to select the league, then the team you wish to place him on. You can also edit his contract in here too, if so desired. _ |
