Can You Lock In "typical starting rotation" In General AI Roster Settings?

I have an 8-team league with 16-man rosters... begun in the 20s and have played up to '28... I play in the commissioner's mode, but let the AI control the teams.

On the page with the "General AI Roster Settings":

I would like to lock in three starters and two relievers.
The game locks it in but for just the season I'm playing.
When I go to the next season, it reverts it back to "5 man rotation".

I would like to set it and forget it and not have to remember to reset it each new season.

Is that possible?

In creating the game, after setting your roster size at 16 under the "rules" heading, you can set the typical AI roster under the Stats & AI heading. If you set your financials an AI settings to 1920, It'll typically say 5 SP 0 Relievers and 11 Position players; but I'm sure you can tweak it at this point. I do not know whether or not you can revisit this after the game has been created, though.

I did that when I set the game up. It's on the General AI Roster Settings screen, which is the one you posted. You can access it year round.

It has to be entered on that page each year, otherwise the AI switches it to "5-man rotation".

How many games do you play? I am playing a fictional replay and am at 1919. My leagues matches MLB of the same time period. If you have a similar setup you can clickone of these ( forgot which one) and it will follow MLB history for staff. Mine uses 4 man rotation start highest rested SP in relief yes the last part you may have to do manually.

Eugene - go to your league setup, "Stats and AI". Set your rotation how you like it.

Go to league setup, "Options" tab, uncheck "Automatically adjust league strategy".

Your settings will stick until you change them again.

Thanks, bluenoser.

That fixed it.

The pitching rotation stays the same each year.

Your screen shots are much appreciated.

I just compared my league stats in 1929 to MLB in 1929 and they were very close to the real stats in Team Batting, ERA and FA.

Even passed balls and wild pitches were, too.

Markus had created an amazing and accurate game
