AI evaluation in historical
In a historical league with reserve clause financials, the contracts are assigned on day 1 of the offseason. Questdog recently posted that he turns off the ratings component of the AI evaluation right before the contracts are set to have them based on stats only. I liked this idea a lot and it got me thinking about how the process works.
I use 20-50-20-10. If I change that to 0-60-30-10 and then move to the off-season, the stats used to evaluate the player should be 60% the season that just finished + 30% the year before + 10% 2 years before. My concern is... when does the game begin to see stats for the season just finished as 1 year ago instead of current year? Perhaps this doesn't happen until preseason or opening day, because the game still shows the season that just ended in standings and stats screens until then. If so, then my formula above would be correct. Does anyone know for sure how this works? |

That's a tough question...it probably needs tested but I'm barely finding time to sleep lately.
