"Downloadable Content", What used to be sold as add-on disks about 10 years ago, but paid for by credit card or Steam and downloaded now instead.

OOTP already does it with iOOTP. You have to pay $0.99 to download each historical season. So avoiding alienating a loyal fan base was not part of the equation for that product.

Right. We were talking about OOTP specifically since that's what the person who introduced the idea of DLC was talking about. iOOTP is a different product.

I have no problem with DLC, but honestly with OOTP the only thing I could see is say uniform and logo packs, and all that stuff can be handled for free within the modding community.
