One-quarter of a 162-game season is 40.5 games. Singapore just won more than 25% of the season's total games in a row.

The Red Raiders won 15 games in a row earlier this season. The Sluggers nearly tripled that winning streak.

Pete Rose set the NL record with a 44-game hitting streak in 1978. Singapore won nearly that many games in a row.

The Cleveland Indians won 22 straight games in 2017, an AL record. Singapore nearly doubled that.

I think, at this point, it is less impressive that Singapore has won 10 championships in PT 2.0 than it is that they didn't win the championship in 18 other playoff appearances...

Singapore is definitely one of the best teams we've been in a league with. Besides Singapore, the Bronx Bombers and Stone Island also won 40+ straight games while in our league. Stone Island (since renamed?) would have a higher career WPct if they hadn't played in leagues with other whales for so many seasons. We also had the "pleasure" of being in the same league as the Orlando Shockers, another super-whale.

Speaking of winning streaks, our Raccoons record tying winning streak of 22 games finally ended. Campanella made an error in the bottom of the 9th that led to a 3-R walk-off HR being hit by Bottomley. Painful way to end it. And what's up with the PP bonus being only 4k?! Does it ever go above this? Maybe for 25 straight or ...?

So as I call it a night, the Raccoons are 107-23 .823 with an RDiff of +456, which is by far our best season ever up to this point. But next month, we have to face the Slumberton Slumlord (.794 WPct) 6 times. I'd like to finish ahead of them so we don't have to play the DDingu Eagles in the 1st round.

The Collingwood Magpies are doing well after a 25 game winning streak erased the relatively slow start. We fell behind the Fog Town Stars by 10 games for conference big shot, then crept ahead by a game, but now have gotten cold again. Having the best record just means a tough division series against the 3rd best team in the league (assuming they get past the wild card game).

There were a few changes to the team. The Texas Rangers mission was completed so Ivan Rodriguez (98) replaced Ivan Rodriguez (88) as 3rd string catcher to play backup to both Berra and Campanella while coming in as a defensive replacement in save situations. Babe Ruth was sold after several seasons of inactivity. I mispriced him at 122K BIN and he sold almost instantly. The loss was 140K after tax. Lou Boudreau was reacquired for 350K, pocketing 158K clear profit from the sale and re-buy and while Lou was playing elsewhere learned to play third base! Sadly, his 2nd debut for the Magpies was as inauspicious as his first--he went 0 for 6 in a 14 inning loss. Finally, I grabbed Eppa Rixey, but so far is sitting in the reserves, because I don't know which pitcher to replace.

I saw that, and thank you! I've got 3 more against them, and I see the Frogs have 3 more as well, lol, here's to hoping the forum crew can knock 'em back a bit! Heck of a season shaping up, and now the jockeying for playoff position is going on in earnest.

Yeah, strange team. The manager changed his team's name in-season from some really long Thai-sounding name to "Morgan Freemans" and the team's logo is still what looks like a picture of a very young Japanese girl, possibly anime?

Whatever it was, first time I saw it, it creeped me out, because I thought it looked like the anime girl mixed who had on KISS make-up. (At least the thumbnail did, not once you opened it up!)

Critters (83-50) lead their division by five, Rebs (67-67) are going nowhere, and the Accountants (43-90) are definitely hitting the Diamond level next week...

Well the Auburn Doubledays at 95-39 are destined for theP432 playoffs with the top ERA and 2nd overall record in the league. Decided to get Ty Cobb 96 to improve our speed and batting average since Ruth was batting a mere .205.

Unfortunately the top team (Santa Monica Beachgoers) is also in the same conference and seems to have our number as we went 0-7 against them in the regular season. Despite the Doubledays top ERA in the league, SM scored 10 or more runs against us 4 times.

It does not look good for the Doubledays in the playoffs.

You beat my other team (Alabama) in last week's playoffs, therefore I'm not trusting you anymore.

LOL. I didn't realize I was going against another one of your teams. Hopefully I can give you better competition in the playoffs. You definitely hit my pitching hard in the regular season.

That must be my biggest game ever: 6,460 PP for this waffling, including 3k for the 30 runs scored, 2k for Arenado's 6-hitter and another 400 for his five runs, also 400 for five runs for Tatis, and another 400 for Clemente's 8 RBI. Just a bit miffed there was no run in the fifth (David Wright hit into a double play to kill the chance), because isn't there another sizable achievement for that, too?

...and then they lost the next game, 4-2, to a 53-86 team

Doha is having an historic season in a whaleless conference, while 2 mega teams are battling it out on the other side.

Having said that, I know that I will not survive the playoffs' first round.

Oilers should have an easy trip to the World Series. It should be a good series between you vs Jersey or Winter Springs.

Your Owlz are still in the running for the wild card, good luck.

The Marathoners are playing .500 ball but 74 Ichiro is doing all he can to bring in some reinforcements! Might be the longest streak I've ever had.

I wonder how many PPs are awarded if you get to 56 or 57?

None, but Joltin Joe shows up in your bedroom like the Babe in the Sandlot.

So it's been an odd week.

Bakery has held its ground in PL. However, a mid week upgrade of the 95 Greg Maddox doesn't seem to be much of an improvement over the 89.

Gorillas cooled after their hot start and are barely hanging on to the division now.

The most surprising and unfortunate series of events is that the Teatotallers are in danger of relegation for the first time ever in the PL.
This despite team avg and team era being in the top 10. More so the pyth is -13 . They appear to be losing a lot of 1 run games.
In other news, I'm two cards from the twins/senators missions. Hopefully I can get it done before Monday.

In the first Huntley vs La Crosse September series...no one swept. The Red Raiders took 2 of 3 in La Crosse.

But, aside from my complete inability to foresee the future, it's shaping up to be an exciting finish in P454. In the AC, the Austin Express have a razor-thin half-game lead over the Manhattan Momos for home-field advantage throughout the playoffs...but the Express also have the RealMadrid El Blanco breathing down their, um, steam pipes; with a 23-5 August and a 17-3 September so far, RealMadrid is only 2 games behind the Express in the AC Central!

In the NC, the Arkport Wolves had a 10-game winning streak earlier in September to close the gap on both the NC East-leading Saint Paul Fighting Saints and the Wild Card-leading Fighting Frogs, but Saint Paul has an 11-game winning streak of its own going now that has built their lead back to 8 games, and the Frogs are holding onto a 3-game lead for home-field advantage in the Wild Card game. Speaking of Saint Paul, the Saints are now only 2 games behind the Carmel-By-The-Sea Otters for home field in the #2/#3 NC matchup; Huntley seemly has the #1 NC seed sewn up with a 7-game lead over the Otters with 9 games left in the Red Raiders' season.

Current standings follow...
