Not really sure what you are asking or wanting but you can already make any team you want by using the baseball reference id and year of the player.

To put together a team similar to your PT team in OOTP it won't be the same.
The rating systems are different.

That is not what I said. I asked what you didn't understand about the post from STLRS95. Your response has nothing to do with what I asked. Try to focus.

It's still not making the PT team available.
I'm sorry if that makes you think I'm not focusing.
Just looking for the features that were promised when I bought the game.
There's no incentive to pay for additional content to the game if you will not be able to access it offline after the online servers eventually cease to operate.
Online games have always sold additional content, and when you buy it you own it. It's always available for your use.
Additional pay content is available in OOTP for the first time.
The devs have said all along, since the beta, that this feature would be enabled soon.
I'm willing to continue to wait, I just can't understand that some other poster's here don't understand what my discussion is about.

No, that's not always the case. I've played several online games where I've purchased content that is no longer available now the game is dead.

I've been playing PT since the beta started.
I always expected that we would be able to do this.
I enjoy many different racing sims, and the additional cars and tracks are yours to keep and use offline or in private online leagues.

I'm curious too (just curious, not judging). I know they mentioned we'd be able to import our teams, but what would we then do with them? They'd be WAY too overpowered to play a normal team (well you could, but for me personally, it wouldn't be fun). You could release all the players I suppose, but some of them (the peak ones, for example) would be overpowered too.

Well you could use them in private leauges, where everyone would be using PT teams.
Iron, bronze, silver, gold, diamond, and perfect.
Could be separate levels, or mixed together, whatever you want.
The difference would be the award system and pack sales wouldn't exhist any longer.
Maybe players could trade or exchange cards over a private server?
You could also play a historic exhibition series or season against the 1927 MLB.
Any season, any era. Play the 1961 Yankees!
But online in a private league everyone would be using PT teams, so the competition would remain pretty much the way it is now in PT 1.0.
There's a lot of guys who would be interested in continuing to use their teams that they have assembled over the last twenty weeks.

But please understand that I'm not whining about a feature we're still hoping to get.
Another poster has said that I am whining when in fact, I'm discussing a feature that a lot of other players are interested in.
This is a discussion board, I think this type of discussion is exactly what the game devs had in mind when they started OOTP.

Why is this guy getting the fifth degree? If a promised feature hasn't been delivered on the developers should be held accountable. Doesn't matter what you think of the feature or if there are potential workarounds. A promise is a promise and all a man has is his word.

While I see the potential use for the feature,
I am ok with this feature being put on hold, considered for a future version, or cut if it means other features or bug fixed can’t be completed or are delayed because of it.

The way I see it, we got to see the roadmap of a product and one item had to be removed for a reason.
Happens all the time....nature of product development and limited resources.

I am sure the developers will keep an eye on more people asking for the feature. If there are really lots of people missing it, I am sure it gets bumped up the „to-do“ list.
