Revert to patch 3 or 4

Hi all,

Is there any issue reverting back to a previous version, say patch 3 or 4? In response to the current patch freeze issue-

unless you are in an online league it shouldn't be a problem... if you still have that setup file or if it's available through ootp's ftp, uninstall your current game (make note of license / release license).. then reinstall the older verstion.

it probably won't let you install an older version over a new one, so uninstalling will likely be necessary. make sure you release your license so that you can re-enter it after installation. i'm not sure if this process will retain the active license or not, so it's better to be safe than sorry. it may very well be an unnecessary step.

i have done this in the past. YES be certain to unlicense. And keep the license in a file you can get to as when you first installed the game. When i rolled back a version, i had to re-enter those numbers. An uninstall is also necessary, otherwise it will not roll back over the older version. It's pretty easy, just be certain to 1. unlicense. 2. uninstall. 3 reload older version. 4. relicense.

in windows, the uninstall will ask you in you want to keep your saved games and custom folders. as i recall i did leave those in place and everything worked out OK. i can't recall if i imported my back-up game or not. i think i did, but i may have done a total restart. it's been quite a few months and i was tinkering with a lot of things then. Just something to be aware of.

Is this really necessary? There will be a new patch coming out soon won't there?
