Farmer Ray 1910

Farmer Ray, 1910 St. Louis Browns, offered at RMY Auctions... Ray was a pitcher, no idea what's up with the catcher's mitt.

Black arm band was for the death of the owner Jim Dunn in 1922.

Seeking Athletics photo of Ollie Brown

Has anyone ever come across a color image of Ollie Brown with the Athletics -- his second of three stops in the 1972 season. It was a mere 20-game stop between well-covered stops in San Diego and Milwaukee. But if we have him with the Angels, for whom he never played (1974 spring, thank you Vault)...
Thanks in advance to those who seemingly find the impossible.

Brown/Oakland exists, in the McWilliams collection at the BBHOF. Presumably he was shot by Doug for Topps as well, but had probably been dealt off before McWilliams got the negatives back from the developer.

Bill Dillman 1967

Was somebody looking for this? Dillman was the unlikely rookie injected into the rotation of the defending World Champion Orioles in 1967. Didn't fare too well, was dished off to St. Louis in the off-season of 69-70, and quickly to the Expos without having appeared in a big league game with the Cards:

Dick Koecher - 90 years old today.

Does anyone have photos to post of short-time major leaguer, Dick Koecher, who turns 90 years old today. A lefthanded pitcher, Koecher lasted just parts of three seasons with the Phillies (1946-1948) and never pitched in the majors again after age 22.

Koecher becomes the 73rd living former MLB player who is at least 90 years old (which is probably a record). Alex Grammas turns 90 in four days on April 3.

There are currently 95 living former players who are at least 89 years old.(definitely a record). With a group of tightly bunched 89th MLB players' birthdays through April there is the possibility that there could be for the first time in history 100 living players who are at least 89 years old.in the near future.

Koecher - From the Dean Of Baseball PR Men

Thanks to Cusick for his photo of Dick Koecher
(this page section 27416).
Just a moment ago I found another photo of Koecher on
the philliesinsider.com blog of
long-time Phillies PR Director/Vice-President
of Communications, Larry Shenk.
Shenk, 77, has just retired after more than 52 years of
service to the Phillies, but still writes a blog on the Phils.
He was the cornerstone of the Phillies PR department
from October 1963 until December 31, 2015.

The Other Brown in Green and Gold

Speaking of outfielders named Brown with the A's, does anyone have Darrell Brown with Oakland? (A few games in 1982.)

I don't use twitter or facebook, but can anyone reach out to bottommscards and ask if he has larger raw images of Ollie Brown, Adrian Garrett, Bill Voss, etc. that would be suitable to edit for head shots?

Harry Chiti Mets

Be still my heart.

BTW, in spite of the mythology, Harry Chiti was NOT "traded for himself". Both transactions were cash. The Mets bought him, then sold him back. That is not the same as being traded for yourself. For the mythology to be accurate, he'd have had to be traded for a player to be named and then have that PTBN be himself. That isn't what happened.

Have to ask because this is well outside my photo id'ing sweet spot: So in this pic Harry would be about 30 years old?
