All Star Game Format and/or Inter-subleague Playoffs

I'm realigning my league into four divisions. I want to have two conferences for the purposes of an all-star game (so it's not Team 1 vs. Team 2) but have the playoffs disregard the conference structure. (I want the four division winners and two wildcards, with the third and fourth highest seeded division winners against the wildcards in the first round with the top two division winners getting a bye.)

When I played around with this, the four divisions in one subleague allowed me to play an All-Star Game and allowed me to structure the playoffs the way I wanted, but the All-Star Game was "Team 1" vs. "Team 2". When I set up two subleagues to represent the conferences, I can't have the lowest seeded wildcard play the third highest division winner if that team is in the other subleague/conference. I have to structure it with two division winners and wildcard per subleague.

Is there a way around this? Either to enable inter-subleague playoff rounds or to label the teams in the All Star Game?
