There is a stickied thread in the PT Bug Reports Forum called Card Error Thread that is exactly for issues like this
I know this has been brought up by others, but feel free to mention it in that thread. The sticky wheel gets the grease after all.

stats are compared to leaguewide averages at the time, before being translated into ratings. In that era, it was a lot more common for relievers to pitch more innings. So based on his peers at the time, he had average stamina. So his stamina rating is average.
same logic explains why Babe Ruth has higher POWER rating than Barry Bonds. |

I disagree. I believe that stamina is not corrected to league averages, in the same way that error ratings are not.

I agree with your disagreement. If stamina was calculated by league averages, most starting pitchers would have the same stamina regardless of era. They do not; historics have higher stamina than modern starters. But it does seem that all relievers, regardless of era, have stamina between 15 and 20.

I am not sure on stamina specifically...just in general that’s how the ratings work. You might be right about stamina being an exception. I just looked up Sutter and his IP totals seemed in line with his peers, nothing extraordinary. But that is probably not really enough to draw conclusions.

i guess you have to play around it....i got sutter to see what would happen.
He pitched in 2 games one inning each. BF (battes faced i assume since the game after 20 years still can't have tool tips enabled for all col headers) 5,6 PI (i dunno...pitches???) 31,23 8/18/2028 , 8/20/2028 His stamina is now at 74%. Slightly tired How much does performance go down when rest status decreases??) |

Good point. This is not properly reflected for historical relivers, but the historical starters do have higher stamina over 100 as compared to the MLB2018 live players that have a stamina around the 70's.
