This utility looks interesting and seems o be well received on the board.
There are two specific things I would like to do with it and want to know if these uses is how the utility was intended or it outside the realm of its intent and could face a potential negative consequence (like the earlier playing the all-star game post): 1. I would like to relocate a franchise within my league. Note that I am not changing the league strucutre (team would remain within the same division) but rather just want to change the city, niuckname, the minor league affiliates and the home stadium. 2. I would like to alter a players ratings and contract due to the fact that there is a mistake/omission in the roster set I am using and would like to fix it. Appreciate any insight you can give me. |

brooklynbums: You can change the city, nickname and minor league team names with manager mode on, but even if you do it with MM off, I don't believe it will have any adverse effect.
I've only noticed a problem when adding, removing or moving (to another league) a team. As to the other things, they should work without problem as well. Of course, back up before editing just in case. |

bsbll_n_mn: Thanks for the update. I thought it would probably work OK, but it's still good to get a confirmation.

The manager's stats can be edited with a hex editor, but that's the only way I know of at the moment. Maybe Pierre will make a utility for this. If not, I might, but it will be a while since I'm working on another utility at the moment.

I just used this utility and looked to make sure all the stuff on the manager screen was the same, it was but, i noticed that the diary had been erased. I know it isnt a big deal and has little or no affect on the game but it would be nice to have the diary.

Not sure this has been asked:
In the readme file, it is stated that a program "MSVBVM50.exe" may be needed for the toggle program to work properly. Where can this program be found? - just in case I need it. Thanks!

Just in case anyone is wondering, I've tried using the toggle utility with OOTP6 and it appears to work without any apparent problems.

Dan, you can't adjust the difficulty level of your manager career with this utility. What it basically does is turns manager mode off so you can make changes to your game, then reloads your manager info when you use it again.

Old Timer, are you planning to update the stats editor you created for OOTP5? Any info would be much appreciated as I used this editor A LOT for OOTP5.

If you turn manager mode 'off' and leave it 'off', will it work just like a non-manager career game? I really don't like the manager mode and wondered if I turn it off for good - will any problems arise from it?
Thanks, Todd |
