Diagnosis pending - suggestion
I like the "diagnosis pending" configuration option, but it seems like there should be some additional information available right away (or at least by the end of the game).
For example: "Diagnosis pending (ankle)" or "Diagnosis pending (elbow)". Maybe even a guess at the severity. "Diagnosis pending (elbow, minor)" or "Diagnosis pending (elbow, severe)". |

I like it. I find it slightly frustrating when a player gets hurt and has "diagnosis pending" for two or three days and I have zero idea whether I should place him on the DL or let him ride it out. As mars001 mentioned, adding some sort of designation to the severity of the injury would be awesome.

I agree, it should at least tell you the body part.

i just want to make sure yo unoticed i was speaking backward on purpose...
hockey injury reports give you lies, not facts.. The NFL will actually fine and/or severely penalize a team if they lie on an injury report, most likely because the gambling special interest got their hooks into those rules' creation or amending, lol. i think they lose a first round draft pick and severe fines - it's quite a serios penalty whatever it is. baseball is inbetween those sports i believe as far as rules regarding disclosure of injuries... i don't know of any rules or fines for lying... nor if they are required to give that information out. so, it's likely per team as to how it works - whether honest or complete BS. they'll have to consider that type of stuff.... e.g. in their hockey game they should never give good information to opposing teams, even if the player's own club does get the facts. that's just part of the rules within that sport. The player's team should definitely get specific info though - but a delayed prognosis is a rule you can change in the video game.. so, if you don't like it, change it. leads to another thing they's have to do to incorporate it - some % chance that the early infor you get is wrong etc... persnally i like simple in this particular context. i don't want to model bad surgeries or misdiagnosis... that starts to get into a different kind of game, :P ....... these forums sure work like %$#@ lately... slow loads, saves, replies you name it... just crap. I just want the basic report that a broadcaster would give as a player is leaving the game: "Looks like he hurt his knee," for example... We don't need to get into the official statement - which may or may not be accurate - from the team after the game.

We're reworking the injury system for OOTP 18. More details about this soon!

One thing I love about NHL hockey on xbone is there's a picture of a body and it shows you where the injury is and the degree of the injury and what negative effects to certain ratings.
Like a foot injury would be say, -25% to speed, etc.. |

Good to know - I turned off the delayed diagnosis option as I found it unrealistic and annoying.

I have also put that one forth some time ago ... it's the thing that annoys me the most about the game. I have two or three other issues, but this is the biggest one by far...
(That was actually quite a while ago, when Stanton Martin was a *young* slugging rightfielder )
