Question on FHM2

Will there be an "Auto Transaction" option to use if we wish to have the game execute all the real life trades and such that took place during the season?

No, this feature doesn't exist. It could be a project for down the road, but would be a big undertaking.

Ok then what team does a player play on that got traded mid season? does he start the season on his new team and play the full season on his new team? Rather than half on the old team and other half on the new team

He would be on whatever team he was at the start of the year. Once the game begins, it proceeds organically. The AI and/or human GMs will make moves as they see fit. So say a player who in real life got traded midseason to Montreal in real life ... In the game he may get traded there, or to any other team, or not traded at all.

The amount of data required to accommodate every trade that ever took place would be insane, so I wouldn't expect that any time soon.

It seems like a small enough deal that you could just sim to the date you want to start at and then use commissioner mode to "fake" the trades and get the start you're looking for.

If one did want to try and make the trades that happened occur as they did IRL (maybe using Commissioner Mode?) the data is seemingly available NHL Trade Tracker - History of NHL trades - Fantasy Hockey Analysis
