Need help! Deleting players

I want to import players with my own players ratings into a new game, but when I import it, a number of players is just doubled. So how can I delete those players that I didn't edit.

You'll need to overwrite the new players you're adding onto the old players you want to delete. Just don't overwrite the ids. Make sure to keep the ids of the old players the same when copying over the new players. Hope that explanation makes sense

In Commissioner mode, either right click on a player in a list or click on the available actions from the player's profile. In either case, you will see an option to delete the player.

Hmmm how can I do this "Make sure to keep the ids of the old players the same when copying over the new players." ?
I did like this... I exported player roster from league A, copied the text file and pasted it on to another exported player roster file from league B (after deleting contents of the text file). Then imported the file from league B.
what's wrong with this?

Did you paste the ids from League A over the League B ids? You don't want to do that. Keep the ids from league B, but paste over everything else.

Oh yes I did it.
OK I understood it, but what is the easiest way to paste over everything but ids? I don't know much about this kind of thing

Just change the exported roster file from being a .txt to a .csv, then open it in excel or open office, select all the cells but the id cells, copy, then paste over all the cells but id cells.

Thanks for your help!
Finally I was able to import a roster! I guess it's time for me to start studying about PC things, haha.
I really appreciate it!!
