delay between pitches?
just started a new league with an expansion draft. during play by play, which is on instant, there is a slight delay (2 seconds?) between every pitch. does anyone know what could cause this?

I think what HP means is that it could be your computer. If it is an older one, with limited RAM, it may take a while to process data. This may get worse as your league proceeds and piles up the text files to be processed.
Two things I can think of are to disable your anti-virus program TEMPORARILY while your playing the game (or, if you are adept with the A-V program itself, look for either a game mode option or the ability to exclude the OOTP game folders from A-V scanning) and to run your system's defragmentation program (in Windows 7, click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk Defragmenter - this could be very useful in speeding up your computer's performance).
