R/L split accuracy

How far back is the RL split accuracty go to?
The manual is not clear.

Of course I want accurate splits and not random.
Stratomatic had accurate splits as far back as 1970 way back in the early 70s.

Why is there an option in the manual example of importing 1977 seattle mariners to use RANDOM generate splits

We beat Stratomatic as we have real batting splits going back to 1913 and the game uses them as of ootp19.
I know this cause I collected them and Spritze added them into the game.

Game does not use real splits for pitchers.....yet to my knowledge.

As for your question about the Manual example:
Some parts are outdated, not updated to current version or is still an option for those that wish to use that option if they want.
