Online League Waivers Query

Posting this here too on advice from someone in the other thread I posted about this in general discussions....

Waivers question
This is for an online league...

After Spring Training, when several teams had to send down players for roster reasons, some of course had to clear waivers before they could be sent down.

No problem.

Some of these guys were claimed by other teams.

No problem.

Here is the problem....or question....

Can the claiming team then send the players they claimed straight to the minors immediately?

OR do the players they claimed have to be put on the major league roster?

Because one team in particular claimed several players and then was able to put them straight into the minors.

This has angered some other owners in the league - the owners that waived the players - with them thinking that the claiming team should NOT be able to send the claimed players straight to the minors.

Can someone clear up for me exactly how this is supposed to work?

(BTW...I have just recently started as a simmer/asst. commish in this league....first time doing so, and I'm learning as I go)

In real life baseball this should not happen but OOTP has an exploitable flaw that allows it if the player has no options left but is still on a minor league contract coming out of spring training. ( The claiming team seems to get an extra option. ) It requires commish manual work to enforce it the real life way.
