All-Time (team) Tourney
I have put together a tournament containing 190 teams, dating from 1900-present day.
In order to set this up, I began looking at the best records for a single season of all time. Most every team in the tourney had to win at least 95 games in a regular season. The only exceptions to this were the '94 Expos, '97 Marlins and the "09 Rockies, these teams were allowed, so as to allow every team a representative. However, if you are a holdover fan of say the St Louis Browns or the Seattle Pilots, than I must apologize and ask you to support the Orioles and the Brewers. Now then, I broke the brackets into 3 different "eras" and kept the AL seperate from the NL at least for now. The "pre 1926" brackets contain 16 teams each from the AL and NL. The "1927-1968" brackets have 32 teams each, and the "1968-present" brackets have 48 teams each. I attempted to maintain a seeding for each of these brackets, however, in an attempt to avoid too many matchups between one franchise, I did waiver in my seeding of middle to lower tier teams. I intend to post brackets as well as some team bio's and maybe some pictures to allow for these teams historical relevance to come back from time to time. I know there are some pretty die-hard fans of particular teams on this board and hope that I am able to provide some level of enjoyment for each of you. Here is a list of a few of the more prominent franchises along with the number of times they are represented Yankees-34 Cardinals-17 Athletics-14 (Oakland and Philadelphia) Dodgers-13 (LA and Brooklyn) Giants-12 (SF and New York) Pirates-11 Cubs, Red Sox and Orioles-10 Please post any responses, thoughts, objections or ideas to improve this tournament. |

While running these brackets I will also replay an entire season with each part of the bracket in a division, therefore, I will have a couple of scenarios that make up the final 4. I will most likely allow most of the final 4 team, from either or both scenarios to appear in a FINAL tournament that will perhaps be double elimination, stay tuned

The top 4 in each of these brackets will advance to a "final" bracket, also the season sim for these teams will allow a few more teams to advance. The additional teams will be the '13 NY Giants, '12 Red Sox, '14 A's, '25 Senators.

Well that is the end of the preliminary tourneys, I will post the survivors of each of these brackets soon.
The top 4 in each bracket advance, as well as the top 4 in each of the regular seasons that were simmed to complete the brackets |
