Re-signing Coaches

How do I fix the issue (or has anyone else have this issue) when I go to resign my coach i cannot afford him?

But that does not make sense.

My coach makes $2,000,000

I have $600,000 in space for personnel. He wants $2,200,000 and for some reason I do not have enough money to sign him?

I have to let him walk every time and then go and resign him as a free agent.

What are your total staff expenses and budget currently at (Team Finances page, middle column, at the bottom)? How many scouts and assistant coaches do you have employed?

Does your Assistant's Tactics rating affect what roles he assigns to your players and or how well he sets your lines based on your chosen tactics?

No, the tactical preferences used are still those of the head coach, even when using the assistant option to set them. It's the AI as your "assistant" making the changes, not the literal assistant coach.

@Inky: Not sure if you ever figured out the issue, but I think I know the cause. You'll get that message if you're resigning them while you're on your mail from the AHL or ECHL screen because you're signing them to that team instead. It happened to me and took me a few minutes to figure out by noticing the coaches I did resign weren't on my team.

Ah, that shouldn't be happening, it should know that the offer is for the team they're currently on. We'll take a look at it.
