Bullpen
I've always been curious, how does the game use the bullpen in simulated games?
I've been under the impression your first setup guy was the 8th inning guy, and the top middle reliever was the 7th inning guy. As for the long relievers, I have no idea. I wish there was a long relief role and a clear 7th inning role. |

The AI uses middle relievers as long relievers as needed and selects the right one based on rest, situation and stamina rating.

Well if a pitcher gets blown up in the first inning (which I do think happens too much in the game) and I have a guy in my bullpen specially to be a long guy, I'm curious as to how the AI determines to select him. I very often see relievers pitch 3 or 4 innings in that situation but it's rarely my ideal long reliever. I've many times seen a pitcher with endurance in the teens pitch 3 and 4 innings. I just wish there was a way to say hey, "Vance Worley" should come in to the game and take over for the starter in the first inning to pitch a couple innings rather than Darren o'day. |

Here's an example in 16...
Todd Redmond who has stamina in the 40s and would be the long reliever doesn't come in and pitch, instead brad brach who is my top middle reliever with a 20 stamina rating comes in and throws 4 innings. |
