Different leagues, different drafts?

So I got the game a couple weeks ago and really dig it, I've been playing some regular historical 60's games in the MLB for now. Recently I wanted to do a historical fictional league, where there are three small pro leagues starting in 1872 and eventually having elements of all three merging later on.

Whatever, that's neither here nor there. My question is, I'd like to have the three leagues have separate inaugural drafts, is there any way to do this? Because every time I check the draft order it's totally merged into like a 48-team draft, even though I have the inaugurals scheduled for different days altogether. Am I missing something?

Thanks!

Firstly, welcome to the forums!

There are others much more qualified to help than me, but until they get here: Have you got the 3 leagues set up as separate leagues, or just sub-leagues of 1 overall league? You might need to set up 1 league to begin, then add the other 2 once you've gone through the initial setup

Also, is this set up as a fictional league with a start date of 1872, rather than a historical league (or do you want to use real players - if so, i'm not sure you'll be able to have 3 separate drafts)?

ETA: having thought about this a bit more, if you're using a fictional setup i think you'd have to create initial league, hold draft, then create next league, go to league settings for that league and under functions choose 'Schedule Fantasy Draft.' This will release all the players automatically created for each team and schedule a draft for the league. Once that draft is held create the next league and repeat the process.

You're right! Not too long after I made this thread I tried out what you said in your edit and managed to make it work, so all's well now.
