Thanks. the color made it easy to create the 1966. used one of the colorizing sites. still has flaws in it.

John Romano In Memoriam
My friend Zappa did this super job on a John Romano photo during his single season with Cardinals. I love calling attention to his work, so I share this with you.

Instant Colorizing
Don't know if you guys have ever tried this site Colourise SG (https://colourise.sg/#colorize). You upload a B&W pic, and in a matter of 4-5 seconds you get it colorized. Of course, you don't get nice results 100% of the time, but some are really outstanding. I've tested a lot of pics, and came with this conclusion: not that good for individual photos, or pics from the 1950 up era. But for team pics from around the turn of 1900, some results were truly fascinating. Quick, easy, and fun. Of course, you'll note that sometimes some parts (hands,..) are still grey, but getting it in 4-5 seconds, and for a group pic, well, ...
Here are some tests I've made. WARNING: I have to admit that I'm not sure that the jersey's colors of these old teams are OK. |

Instant Colorizing
I've added a Bob Shaw Mets, and Birdie Tebbets (I think), that were the best results I've obtained for individual pics

Hal McRae, colorized by Zappa
Here is a commision job that got a "me likey!" response from the person making the request. So I thought I would use that as an excuse to post some more fine work by Zappa.
This of course is a young Hal McRae in an iconic moment for the fledgling Big Red Machine. |
