Question on editing nation's "Baseball Quality"
Hi, I've played OOTP in year's past, and for some reason in OOTP 20 I can't find how to edit "Baseball Quality" within the game. I genuinely thought I was previously able to edit it in game (either OOTP 17-18 Maybe?) but for some reason can't figure out how now.
Am I stuck having to dig into the xml files bit by bit and manually edit them all? I'm almost 100% certain I was previously able to make the changes for it when making a new custom world file. Was hoping to improve the quality in a few nations, and lower it in a couple others, and wanted to make sure I'm not missing something appallingly obvious. I'm fine with modifying the xml files (I've done so with other games for years), but I was confused/curious if that function got removed or I'm just not seeing it. I did some forum searches and was unable to find anything to answer this, I apologize in advance if I overlooked a thread answering it. Thanks for any help in advance! |

I suspect that your problem is that you're not in commissioner mode. You need to be in commissioner mode to make changes in-game. If you're in commissioner mode and still can't figure out how to make changes to a nation's baseball quality, choose a nation and then go to the "nation editor" tab. One of the choices is "baseball program." The pull-down menu has six options to choose from. Those correspond to the "baseball quality" options in the Explore World menu. Yeah, it's kinda' confusing that the Explore World menu says "baseball quality" and the editor says "baseball program," but they're the same thing.
