How to get rid of "fictional" players
I like to play a "fictional" league composed of real players... the greatest players or favorite players among my friends. There are 12 owners and they have chosen about 90 players each for their organizations. Each major league team has a AAA and an AA team. Owners research major league rosters carefully and choose the best (in their opinion) players.
In between seasons, we want to add real players to the teams and to the free agent pool, but the game keeps generating fictional players in the off season. If there a way to stop the game from doing that? We don't want any fake players. It is very time confusing to comb through dozens of free agents to weed out the phony players one at a time. Any help would be really appreciated. |

OOTP isn't really designed to handle a league in which you manually import players. You could create a historical league and then modify the league structure and team names to your desire, but it's still going import historical players each season. But it would not create fictional players.
To my knowledge, there is no way to turn off the creation of fictional or historical rookies from year to year. Sure, you could probably work around this by deleting a lot of players and doing manual imports of the players you want, but I think it would be more trouble than what it's worth. |
