We have openings in Buffalo and San Jose. We are nearing the end of the 2014 season so perfect time to get in before the offseason begins.

Looks like we've filled the Sharks, still need a GM for Buffalo.

The Buffalo Sabres are definitely more of a fixer upper relative to the Sharks. The team is headed for relegation to the Bronze League. Furthermore, the team has serious budgetary constraints given several bloated contracts that have bled the team’s financial resources. Not all is lost though as the team has $3.6 million in expiring contracts, a decent chunk of which are of the “overpaid” variety. Furthermore, the team has the third ranked prospect system in silver with impressive youngsters such as OF Colin Graves, who should be a premiere CF’er once matured, as well as SS Tom Colwell, who should serve as an effective SS for many years. This team will need a patient GM, but the rewards of turning this franchise around and climbing the league hierarchy will be great.

I am on this site everyday and feel like i could possibly feel the buffalo opening although i would need some help/guidance as it would be my first online league experience. If interested you can email me at kvnwithrow@gmail.com or message me here.

Buffalo

I've played in a few online leagues in previous OOTP versions and would happily take over Buffalo. Send me a PM if that's still an option?

Buffalo filled. Philly GM has decided not to return for the 2015 season, so we have an opening! Offseason starts next week so perfect time to get in.

Philadelphia finished with a 45-39 record, good enough for third place in a very tight silver division in 2013. A win over the Islanders in the semifinals prompted the team’s promotion to Gold in 2014 which proved to be a bit tougher in terms of competition. Returning largely the same team, the Flyers finished in 6th place with a 39-45 record. The challenge for an incoming GM won’t necessarily be to turn the team into championship material overnight, but rather, to keep the team good enough to avoid relegation and allow time for some of the younger talent to develop as the Flyers boast one of the best ranked minor league systems in all of the PBDL. In fact, they currently have the number one, two, and three top prospects in the Gold league. Of course, a GM could decide to sell the farm and go for the Gold championship right now!

Still looking for a Flyers GM, see post above for team description. Ideally would like to find someone ahead of the sim tomorrow night as we will be starting the 2015 offseason this week.

The Boston Bruins need a new GM! PM or email if interested.

Boston has been a team steadily on the rise. They finished 6th in 2013, 4th in 2014 and they are currently in first halfway through the 2015 season. They've been in silver since league inception, but have a real good shot of promotion to gold in the near future under the right tutelage. The team is led by one of the best catchers in the league, Mack Robinson, who is having another strong year for the team. Outside of Mack, the team isn't built around superstars, but the team has good depth, great defense and is relatively healthy financially. Through intelligent drafting, the team boasts the third best minor league system in Silver and has plenty of young talent to keep the team viable in the coming years. Hyeon-Cheong Hu was a 2nd round steal and now ranks as one of the top prospects. The team has several expiring contracts and is in a heated race with Detroit for first in Silver after going 4-6 over their last 10 games. A prospective GM will have plenty to do in order to guide this team's future.

We have an opening in Chicago. Just completed our third season and entering the off-season shortly, perfect time to get in! PM or email with brief blurb about yourself.

The Blackhawks are the first and only team to date to have a Triple Crown winner play for them in Alfredo “Bucky” Rodriguez. Fueled by Bucky’s incredible offense in 2013, the Blackhawks snuck into the playoffs in 2013 but have since faded hard after significant talent declines to a couple of their key veterans. Outside of Bucky, there are not many core pieces in their prime currently on the ML team and the team lacks an identity of sorts. They do have some young prospect talent and should have a decent shot at #1 pick in the upcoming draft lottery. Currently, the team has a negative cash balance, but with several large contracts leaving the books, a new GM will have plenty of flexibility to re-shape the team to his liking. As a sub .500 Bronze team, the climb to a Gold championship will be arduous, but truly rewarding.

We filled Washington, still have the two openings listed below. We just passed opening day. Shoot me a PM or email (PBDLCommish@gmail.com) if you are interested.

The Devils started off the inaugural 2013 PBDL season with a pretty compelling team, one that very well could’ve won a PBDL championship in the early years of the league. But while the team made the playoffs in 2013 and 2014 finishing 1st and 2nd, respectively, they couldn’t quite get the job done. In 2015 the teams aging core finally caught up to them and the team failed to live up to its lofty expectations. The Devils found themselves in an unsuccessful battle to avoid relegation eventually finishing in 8th place. An aggressive GM is needed who can take a slightly below average minor league system along with an increasingly aging core and transform the team back into the competitive threat it was just a year or two ago. Not all is lost though, the team does have several valuable pieces on the major league roster, is in decent shape financially, and is now competing in the less cutthroat silver division. Some of the team’s most interesting pieces include 1B Andy Taylor who is in the final year of his contract and prospect SP Ernest Carter, who was just drafted 3rd overall in the 2016 amateur draft.

The Flames just barely avoided relegation to bronze for the second consecutive season, finishing in sixth place both times. The team's strength would likely be its starting rotation. The lineup struggles to hit for average and thus run support for the pitchers is relatively weak. The good news on that front is that the team does have a couple of young players that could be ML ready. In addition, the Flames are one of the stronger teams in the PBDL in terms of financials, with plenty of excess cash and a reasonable payroll. A new GM can make swift upgrades to the team in an attempt to move this team to the next level.

I thoroughly enjoy playing in this league as the NY Islanders. Everything is done on time with a dedicated group of owners. The commish is just as dedicated as well!

A unique league concept with a very dedicated commissioner. I recommend this one highly if your looking for something a little different from the norm.

Everybody thinks that a league is simple to run, but it isn't. This is a league done right. Great commissioner, and the promotion/relegation keeps the interest going all season, especially since the seasons are shorter.
