What I do?

So I just drafted this guy:

When he develops I don't know if he should pitch or hit for my Phils. If he pitches he's a great piece to put in my rotation. But if he pitches he'll only play once every 5 days so I'm not sure how I should use this talented player. Any ideas?

It really all depends on your other strengths. If you've got a strong outfield, then perhaps have him as a backup outfielder who occasionally rotates through the outfield starting positions. He likely could be an effective middle- or long-reliever if he's not overtired by playing the field.

I would look at it another way -- is it harder to acquire a starting pitcher or an outfielder? In most leagues, SP is the hardest position to fill. This guy would be a good middle of the rotation guy and playoff contributor. That's what I would do with him, and count his fine hitting as a bonus, assuming no DH.

I agree with ricealum. I would try to make him a starter.

Yeah... A starter/ slash occasional sub and pinch hitter.

Absolutely make him a starter. Don't ever use him in the field or as a pinch hitter either. You don't want to risk injuries to a SP, those guys are harder to find.

Agree he should be a starting pitcher. SPs with good stuff and high groundball rate are in demand.

If he ever hurts his arm and loses effectiveness you could do a Rick Ankiel thing and convert him to a position.
