Prospect too young to demote to ECHL??
Trying to figure out why I can't demote a player to the ECHL that I just signed from the prospects page? Says he is too young, but he is 19... I can send to AHL but not ECHL. I am playing as the Washington Capitals.

19 year olds from CHL can't play in minors. Have to stay on your NHL roster or be returned to their junior team

ECHL has a minimum age of 20 in addition to that. Daniel Vladar, a Bruins prospect, is actually playing there at 19 right now, but they seem to have made a special case for him. I'm going to look into that a little further to see if the standard practice is to allow players under NHL contract an exemption (which, if true, is going to be an ugly little mess to figure out how to handle.)
