Extension loop problem persists
Once again, I have met a player's extension request only to be told that it was inadequate, and he then "counter offered" with the very same years/salary -- which I again accepted, only to be again turned down, and given the same demand back.
Since this is a long standing problem, no fix in sight, I wonder what work-arounds are best? In the past, I upped the salary slightly and this did not get me out of the look. |

Offering an increase that is larger than I want to offer might get me out of the loop, but that would not fix the bug.
If an owner agrees to a player's request, the player should not refuse just to demand the very same salary/years that the owner just agreed to. |

Yes, I realize that doesn't fix the bug -- I was just wondering if that is a temporary workaround that would get you out of the loop. And, yes, this shouldn't be happening in the game.
"You're offering me 5 years at $5 million per? No way! I demand 5 years at $5 million per!" said no baseball player ever. |

I've not yet been willing to offer a significant increase just in case the player said yes. The player who prompted my most recent post declared himself a free agent with a wildly higher ask. It will be interesting to see what he signs for. I just offered him what he had asked for before free agency, but he has not yet responded.

Whenever that happens, I just go into the editor and manually put the extension in.
