My frustration with the referees is the inconsistency. Sometimes they call it other times they don't. The older I get the more I prefer video games and don't have to deal with pathetic referees affecting the outcome of the games.

Heartbreaker as a Dallas fan yesterday. They lost that game when Dak flubbed the handoff at the goal line on the first drive.

Which, since this falls under the heading of "things that protect the quarterback", I doubt they are ever going to do. Anyway, all teams do it so there really isn't any special advantage.

Or am I missing something else?
Look at the play clock.

Us Raider fans haven't had a whole lot to cheer about for a long time, but today is such a sweet Christmas Present. Beating KC in KC...... Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus

The blogosphere is screaming, in Dallas. THIS is why I am not a Cowboy fan. ANYTHING that goes wrong to them is a conspiracy, and they whine like an A-10. The hit by parsons WAS close, and the ref made a call. The rulebook SPECIFICALLY states ..."when in doubt, throw the flag." This is the only time in the entire rulebook that has this type of reference. Parsons had a step and a half to slow up, shy away, or do any number of other actions. He decided to drive through, with a hit very high up on the back of Tua. I think he was trying to hurt him, and get him out of the game. I think the ref agrees with my assessment.
Don't try to explain roughing the passer calls. They've made it to where there is no standard. Roughing the passer can be called on any play where there is contact with the QB. Now they're starting to call centers that bob their head for a false start. But not always.

Agreed. But the center then raised his head when snapped the ball. It was a split second & as you say, it happens all the time. I'm not as upset about that.

I'm upset that a replay can show the ball never in control, hit the ground, & the ref comes out saying the reply was inconclusive.

Meanwhile, Purdy's MVP campaign is taking a hit this 1st half.

Losing Chandler Jones was an early christmas gift for Crosby.
Koonce is making it hard for teams to just double team Maxx.
Secondary is playing well.
Zamir White has been running well.
People were knocking O'Connell but Chiefs defense has been good this year. Mahomes was having a tough day with the raiders defense and the wind so i didnt think O'Connell was gonna do any better.

In particular, with pass interference calls/non-calls. Seems like they have been getting even more inconsistent with these. There seems to be no standards any more as what constitutes P.I...

Lovely place for TANF funding to end up. The Venn diagram is an overlap of the folks that whine and moan about taxpayer dollars going to poor families and children and the scumbags like these in Mississippi that steal (stupidly) from those funds. I want to see long jail terms for these greedy / stupid good 'ol boys.

I want it to. But we know they will at best get suspended sentences & community service. If, and that is a big "IF", they even get prosecuted. I have little expectation a political stronghold will work to convict any member of that political stronghold.

Agreed 100%. The same could be said about roughing the passer. With just those two penalties having no standard, you can easily manipulate games. Because they can be called or not called at any time.

Proud of my Browns, still in a shot of reaching the playoffs, even without Chubbie!

The Joe Flacco story is an awesome one!

And better than a shot, your Brownies currently own the top wild card spot and control their own destiny. A win (or tie) this Thursday against the Jets clinches that top spot. Even if the Jets were to upset the Browns, there are numerous scenarios - this week - where Cleveland still nabs a wild card spot... And while it's not as likely, the Browns still have a shot at the division (they'd need to win against Jets & Bengals while the Ravens lose against Dolphins & Steelers, and then the Dolphins lose in Week 18 vs Bills).

That Bryce Young optimism from last week I think is gone.

He took a giant **** in the middle of the field again today.
