Farm systems effect on where players land?
I'm doing a "Connie Mack" simulation starting in 1906 when Eddie Collins joins the club. Really fun.
According to game menus, farm systems start in 1915. How does this effect player acquisition? I'm in 1913 and with the player draft, many players are ending up on different teams than historically. That's fine - actually kind of fun. But if I start a league after 1915 with farm systems, will most of the new players land in their historic farm systems each year, and thus the teams will stay a little more historically the same? (In Challenge Mode with trades etc. enabled.) |

If you have a draft then the players will not end up with the team that they did in real life. Well they might but it all depends on who selects them in the draft. If you want the players to end up with the teams that originally signed them there is an option to choose that. All you have to do is disable the draft and the players will be automatically assigned to their original teams. You can also have them come in as free agents for any one to sign.
