Favorite Players (Silver or lower)

So who has been everyones most reliable player that helps you the most at the beginning levels? Obviosuly this isn't about the Ruths, Williams, Wagners out there but more so the players that perform season after season at a high standard.

My best two so far are below.

I still have Kevin Pillar as a backup OF in the Perfect League level. His offense is atrocious, but he does a great job filling in for defense and baserunning.

Bill Madlock is a consistent .300 hitter for me.
Freeland, Soroka, and Barker all pitch very well.

Many people are overlooking 79-rated Roberto Osuna. He is tied for the 2nd best Control in the entire game. In a game where walks will kill you (Diamond Kenley Jansen is garbage because he walks everyone), it makes him play better than you think he should.

He's got a sub-1 ERA for me in limited Perfect level innings.

The best hitter by far (using RC27) is Enos Slaughter at 7.01 (803 Games Played). At a distant second is Earl Webb at 6.29 (1643 GP). These are the stats they've had for all teams in the leagues I've been in.

78 Eddie Collins has consistently been a top 3 base stealer for me.
63 Ildemaro Vargas is a good hitter and defender. Plus he trains up well at all infield positions. He's a good utility option.

I can never find him in the Auction House. He's got Mookie-lite hitting ratings.

69 Rated SP Charlie Robertson - running a bit of trouble in diamond this time, but otherwise had been sub 4 ERA for every other season.

64 (I think) rated SS Luis Aparicio - ive used him as a super utility infielder back up and he has decent running stats and gets hot at the plate

60something OF Lou Brock - I use him as a backup outfielder and pinch runner and he gets a ton of steals a season (20-30) despite having usually only around 100-150 PAs.

60 rated 1B George Burns - excellent contact and extra base hits, led league in Batting Average and double for me

75 rated SP Sixto Sanchez, his ratings aren't mind blowing but very consistent and always in the top 10 in league in WHIP and QS for me.

Hopefully I can grab him when I get home. He's on a shortlist I have of players I'm targeting based on Mookieness and Troutness.

Argh... Took Brandon Belt out and put Dan T Murphy in. First game result was an 0 for 4 and an end to my 7 game winning streak.

probably a stupid question, but where are you finding that data? How do you know the stats for the players outside your individual league?
